The Autism Friendly Austin (AFA) initiative was created to bring together current service providers, retailers, and businesses to better serve individuals with diverse abilities. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive community by understanding the needs of your customers, your employees, and your neighbors.
Our vision is to make our community and the surrounding area inclusion friendly, sensory sensitive, and welcoming to all families. Our mission is to promote understanding and provide support for inclusion and acceptance of individuals with diverse abilities through community engagement, training, and education. Mower County has some great resources in place for individuals with diverse abilities, and we want to make sure you're aware of them—and that your business or service is recognized as one of them. Our team can help you become an inclusion friendly location. With a minimal investment of time and money, your business can grow and become a preferred provider for those actively seeking accessible, welcoming shopping and service experiences. We’ll provide the tools and resources you need to attract and support both customers and potential employees with diverse abilities. |
