Guidelines for participating in Virtual Programs
Arrive on Time
Entry may not be permitted if you arrive more than 15 minutes late. Zoom programs begin about 10 minutes before the scheduled activity time to allow participants to get prepared for the program.
Find a quiet space
Before joining the program, find a quiet space in your home away from TV, music, conversations and any other distractions. Any background noise will make it hard for others on the chat to hear.
Explore tools on Zoom
Zoom has tools for you to wave to friends, raise your hand, chat, display a virtual background and more. You must turn your video on during programs- you will not be permitted to participate otherwise.
Mute yourself as needed
Even if you found a quiet space before logging on, if any noisy distractions come up while you're participating, please mute yourself until it's quiet on your end again. The host reserves the right to mute anyone not following these guidelines.
LIFE Mower County rules still apply
If you wouldn't say it at LIFE, don't say it in a Zoom program. Show respect for others. Take turns talking, so everyone gets an opportunity to share.
Share your ideas
What would you like to chat about? Have an idea for a game or activity? Make sure to let LIFE Mower County staff know. Everyone's ideas are important!
